Joe Jaworski, Democratic candidate for Texas Attorney General, announced today he has raised $330,407.19 in his bid to oust incumbent Ken Paxton in the 2022 general election.
Jaworski stated, “I am proud of our strong start to this timely campaign to restore integrity, ethics and support for the rule of law to the office of the Texas Attorney General. For too long Ken Paxton has defied the law and disrespected the citizens of Texas. That ends in 2022.”

Jaworski is the grandson of legendary Watergate Prosecutor Leon Jaworski. He is a third-generation Texas trial attorney and former Mayor of Galveston, Texas, where he focused on rebuilding Galveston’s storm-devastated public housing that made a positive difference for thousands of Island residents.
Jaworski earned his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina’s Davidson College and his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. His career began as law clerk to United States Court of Appeals Fifth Circuit Judge John R. Brown. He owns The Jaworski Law Firm, headquartered in Galveston, where his practice specializes in mediating Defense Base Act claims brought by military contractors for personal injuries arising from the War on Terror.
