I had a unique opportunity in Austin last week to meet with former White House Counsel John Dean. We compared notes between the political corruption he helped expose a generation ago when my grandfather, Leon Jaworski, was investigating the Nixon Administration and the corrosive partisanship that has mired the U.S. And Texas Capitols in special interest gridlock today.
“There was a striking degree of secrecy they had imposed very early [and] this lack of transparency always has serious consequences,” Mr. Dean said.
Reporter Vince Leibowitz captured some of the moment in a post for Austin’s KXAN-TV.
